  • End: Apr 29th, 2019

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was launched by the United Nations in 2015 following to the completion of the millennium development goals (MDGs).

Since then, the term “sustainability” has been known and frequently used by government, civil society organisations (CSOs), practitioners, companies and including local communities.

By 2030, SDGs has to be achieved and Indonesia is one of the countries that is committed to support the implementation. However when it comes to SDGs, it is still associated with only environment sustainability.

In fact, SDGs draw upon holistic approach involving economic development, social inclusion, and environment sustainability by bringing-in everyone (and not leaving anyone behind) the sustainable development.

This symposium aims to be a platform for exchange views and share best practices on the application of science in implementing SDGs.

The symposium will also be a good chance for participants to gain more information on by far SDGs being implemented in Indonesia so as to grasp the opportunities coming forward.
