Coordinator of Natural Capital and Resources Center

Dr. Sunaryo appointed as coordinator of  is Chairman of Natural Capital and Resources Center since 2018. Before that, he is research associate at Research Center for Climate Change University of Indonesia since May 2015. He finished study from Forest Management, Faculty of Forestry, Bogor Agricultural Institute at 1977 and his Doctor of Philosophy in Forest Resource Economic, School of Forestry, University of Washington, USA at 1994.  He was joined Ministry of Forestry since 1977, and his last position was a Special Staff for Forestry Minister in Human Resource Development and Reformation of bureaucracy.

Dr. Sunaryo was Chairman of the Task Team on Climate Change of the Ministry of Forestry until 2008 and still Following the issue of climate change and become a member of the delegation to negotiate the issue of climate change. He was Initiate and encourage the implementation of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) at forestry sector. Dr. Sunaryo also initiate discussions and thoughts on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD). In the UNFCCC COP 13 in Bali, he got role as of conferences organizing committee and part of the negotiators on climate change, especially in forestry sector.
